e-Communication

Welcome to the pages for electronic communication between participants in court proceedings and the courts.
Electronic communication is applicable in all commercial, municipal, administrative and county courts and in the High Commercial Court of the Republic of Croatia, the High Administrative Court of the Republic of Croatia and the Supreme Court of the Republic of Croatia.
On these pages, depending on the rights granted, lawyers, insolvency administrators, notaries, court experts, court assessors, court interpreters, liquidators, special guardians, lawyers from trade unions and employers' associations and natural and legal persons can:
  • send submissions and attachments to the court (My submissions)
  • receive court documents (My inbox)
  • remotely access court files of cases in which they legally represent a party to the proceedings (My cases)
  • receive a warning that bankruptcy proceedings have been opened against a party in cases in which they act as legally representatives (Bankruptcies)
This system cannot be used to send submissions to land registry case files. There is a separate system for land registers that is not connected to e-Communication. Electronic communication with land registry departments may only take place through the One-Stop-Shop Real Property Registration and Cadastre Joint Information System at https://oss.uredjenazemlja.hr/default.aspx?id=17.
Submissions cannot be sent to commercial court registration files because these are handled in an information system which does not support e-Communication.
To log in to and use this service, you need to:
  1. have an e-Citizen user account (learn more)
  2. log in to NIAS with an electronic credential of significant (2) or higher security level
The list of accepted credentials is available here.
  3. have an appropriate signature certificate
The authorised issuers of signature certificates in Croatia are::
    • Financial Agency (FINA)

    • Ministry of the Interior, indirectly, in the form of issuing the electronic identity card (eID)
  4. be registered in the internal register of the Ministry of Justice and Public Administration (implemented through the information system by the Ministry of Justice and Administration).
You can follow the course and dynamics of court cases through the e-Case system, using search by court and file number and without identification through the e-Citizens system. For security reasons, juvenile criminal and misdemeanour cases, cases under investigation and war crimes cases as well as cases within the jurisdiction of USKOK cannot be found in this database.
Technical requirements for the e-Communication service are provided by the Ministry of Justice and Public Administration. For periods of service unavailability, see here (Croatian only).
The change history of the service is available here (Croatian only).
The FAQ document can be downloaded here (Croatian only).
Court fees are paid before sending submissions to the court through the Croatian Public Levies Payment System. Conditions for the collection of public levies within the Croatian Public Levies Payment System are available on the website https://njd.fina.hr.
